Aza found out that Daisy's Star Wars fan-fiction featured a character based on Aza. The character was depicted as "useless" and basically was no fun and exhausting and a horrible friend. When Aza confronts her about the fan-fiction they get in a fight while Aza is driving and there is a horrible car accident. In the hospital, Aza gets caught drinking hand sanitizer to help rid her body of the microbes that she is sure is wreaking havoc on her body. It is the way her mother discovers just how close Aza is to losing it all.
After a few weeks, Aza goes back to school and makes up with Daisy. A little too quickly for my liking. After the fight, I really did not like Daisy. The author could have used this point to illustrate that it is okay to end a friendship with someone. However, forgiveness is an honorable quality.
They figure out that the billionaire drowned in the river and his body has been in a sewer all this time. Aza told Davis their suspicions. He called in the anonymous tip that found his body.
