Chisty's "Bob" was a real asshole. He stole her phone and ipad and map and left her to pay the hotel bill. Bea and Christy were starting to head back to Salt Lake City when they got caught in a rainstorm that nearly washed them away. Tag and Hank saved them, and they rode out the storm at Hank's dad's place. Until Bea saw on social media that her crush was engaged to her old college roommate.
She made he mother leave with her, and on their way out, they found Bob's body. They said a heart attack. The trauma kept Christy and Bea around Mercy. The book ended with Bea and Christy swimming in a hot spring when Christy stubbed her toe against a metal box at the bottom of the hot spring. Treasure?
