Simon killed Nina and buried her in the woods. Rory moved the body and dropped her in the lake. He thought she wouldn't be found there. Jamie through Simon's phone in the lake, which the cops had a warrant for, so they drug the lake to find the phone and found Nina instead.
But the night before, Andy went to Simon's house, wanting to scare him into telling him the truth, but instead, he found Simon running away. Hiking away from the house. Andy followed him and threatened to shoot him if he didn't tell him what happened to Nina. Simon told him the truth, but Andy killed him anyway. Lee helped him bury the body in their barn.
