First of all, Char was really Lolly. The daughter of the woman who died in the car crash when Amy was fifteen. I am not sure that I ever totally understood who was driving. Tig swore it was him and Amy was certain it was her.
Char's husband ended up leaving her for another man.
Roux had kidnapped Luca and was in a relationship with him. Since Luca was really 14 it was rape. When Amy finally pieced it all together and spoke with Luca's mother she went to their house. Through the window, she saw them engaged in sexual activity. She tried to delay their departure by confronting Roux. Roux shot Amy. Amy shot Roux. Roux died, Amy did not.
