He manipulated Abby into letting him take Benjamin away for two weeks. He even got Benjamin to help him kidnap a young woman, but when Benjamin realized that Curtis was out to hurt the girl, Benjamin stepped up. And when Curtis threw her overboard, Benjamin went in after her and saved her.
