Layla and Sable switched bodies after they were shot. It was Leeds who shot Sable to protect Layla. Willow was really Layla's soul. They figured out to switch back, Leeds needed to kill Layla's body. So Leeds drowned her, they did switchback, and Layla was revived in her own body.
They left Nashville and Kansas and moved to Montana.
