Emmett, Lucy's best friend from high school, was the murderer. Emmett and Lucy were making out at the wedding. When she and Savvy left the reception, Emmett saw them and he tried to pick up where he left off with Lucy. Savvy got in the way and Emmett took his rage out on Lucy, but only Savvy got in the way and saved Lucy's life. And Matt was there, Lucy's ex-husband. Emmett told him that Lucy killed Savannah and he kept it secret, thinking he was protecting Lucy.
