Laure was right, Pierre did have a child with another woman. Iris. Beth was the result of a one night stand on one of their couple vacations. She had kept it from everyone all these years. But then Pierre found out.
And Iris killed him. She also killed Laure. And then she killed the gardener when he put it together. He was too close to Beth and she could not risk it.
