It was Nathan, the son of the man who found Arden, who killed his father. Nathan was obsessed with Olivia/Arden and his father was about to warn her, which is why he killed his father. He was trying to frame Arden/Olivia.
Olivia's mother was not dead. She was working as a nurse at Olivia's hospital. She had been sneaking into Olivia's home and drugging her wine. Which is why Olivia started sleep-walking again. She was drugged. Olivia put it together that her mother faked the whole "missing girl" thing from all those years ago. She was a grifter always looking for another way to make an easy buck, that she generally spent on drugs and not her daughter.
Olivia killed her mother by pushing her out the window.
