Diana told her family that she had cancer. She did not have cancer. She was looking into Euthanasia over her grief of losing her husband. She had even changed her will and gave her fortune to charity because she did not want her children accused of killing her when she went through it.
However, she had refused to give Nettie money for IVF, upon the request of Nettie's husband. In her anger, she smothered her mother with a pillow.
Nettie ended up killing herself using the drug Diana had purchased to kill herself.
