It was Faith's mother who paid Rat Face and "Hunter" to kill her father and sister. Faith's friend and her mother just happened to be collateral damage.
She had them killed because she wanted to be with her ex-boyfriend, Thad. She was also the one who was messing with Faith by moving her car and breaking into her house. She almost got Faith killed, too, but the police figured it out.
Henry was a figment of Faith's imagination. A coping mechanism of sorts.

DeleteJust finished this book on Kindle and feel confused, and I’m surprised I haven’t seen anyone discussing this anywhere on the internet (although I can’t see your full review). From last paragraph in Chapter 44, why would it say “ Faith turned her head to look at him. She had a plan for when she was released. It wasn’t a sobriety plan, and it wasn’t anything she could tell him, or anyone else for that matter. But it was something she knew she would do if they ever caught the killers.”? What am I missing? Haven’t all the killers already been killed?
