Avery's brother faked his death and had been hiding out in Wisconsin. Her father was hiding out at a distant relative's cabin on Lake Placid. She figured it out from the postcard her father sent her and turned him in. Walt helped her help her brother escape to Jamaica.
Victoria really did kill Cameron Young, but also planted the evidence to make it look like she was framed. She faked her own death with the help of her best friend, the famous author, Natalie. Together, Natalie and Victoria wrote the best-selling books.
Walt and Avery lived happily ever after in California after she got her big contract.
