Ethan was the son of the serial killer. He changed his name and sought out Naomi and Olivia and Cassidy, because he knew his father didn't stab Naomi.
Olivia stabbed Naomi, encouraged by Cassidy. And when she couldn't do more than one, Cassidy finished it. She was jealous of how close Naomi and Olivia were getting.
"Persephone" was really a transient waitress who was having an affair with Cassidy's father. Cody accidentally killed her. And killed Olivia when she was getting too close to the truth. Cassidy wanted Cody to kill Naomi, too. Instead, Cody killed Cassidy because he was always Naomi's protector.
