Margie, Josh's nanny, was really Shane's mother. Shane and his mother killed all the people at the farmhouse. They wanted to kill Brooke to get back at her father, who was having an affair with Shane's mother and decided to not leave Brooke's mother.
Shane's mother is the one who killed the woman and framed Tim.
Josh killed Shane after Tim warned him that he was dangerous.
