Caroline and Ted kidnapped Teddy after Caroline killed Teddy's mother. Teddy was really Flora, a girl. The ghost was Teddy's mother trying to keep them safe.
Mallory killed Ted and Teddy killed Caroline. Teddy/Flora was reunited with her father.
A year later and Mallory wrote a book, reunited with her mother, and is going to college.
