First of all - I had figured out early on that Edgar and Olivia were dead. The details of their death were excruciating to read but helped to understand why Anna became agoraphobic.
Anna DID see a woman stabbed in the Russell house, but it was not Jane Russell. It was Ethan's birth mother who had made an appearance at Anna's house. Anna just assumed that it was Jane Russell because she had also seen her at the Russell house. The woman had been tracking the Russell's trying to connect with Ethan. It was ETHAN who stabbed her. It was ETHAN who had been breaking into Anna's house. It was ETHAN who took the picture of her asleep with her own phone. Ethan was completely unstable and Anna ended up pushing him to his death in an effort to save her own life.
