Trinity, Luke's friend, killed Finley. Finley was trying to destroy Trinity's work on the documentary, because he thought it was going to expose the truth about what happened with Luke's accident. It was Trinity's mother that had hit Luke, but it was Allison that had cut the brake lines. That was the camera footage on the thumb drive when Luke got pulled over, the footage from their youth.
Allison framed the guy from the road-rage incident for Finley's death. She still had his cell phone from that night.
