This one is a "retelling" of Jane Eyre. But it has been a million years since I read it, so I don't know how accurate. 

Bea was the one who killed Blanche and framed Trip.  Eddie kept her locked up because he still loved her and was afraid she would get the death penalty.  Oh, and Bea killed her mother. 

Jane "rescued" Bea and the house caught on fire. The assumption was that Eddie (and Bea) died in the fire, but they found no remains. 

Eddie had already changed his will and left everything to Jane. Who took the money and moved to North Carolina to live happily ever after.
