Lucy was Libby's mother. Phineas was actually the father.
Henry had been drugging Phin to make himself look good, but also because he loved him. He also created the concoction to drug the adults. The intention was to drug them long enough for the kids to escape. Instead, it killed all of them. Lucy had left the house trying to get Phin to a doctor, leaving the baby behind. When she got back to the house, the police were there. She had no choice but to walk away.

Ok but like can we discuss the last f*cking page? It creeped me out so much! This book is fantastically written and, even if it is a little disturbing at times, I loved that I wasn’t able to put it down.
