The extremist group was trying to weaponize botulism. They ended up killing all of the people at the compound, leaving Sara alive to bear "witness." And had also poisoned a ton of airplane meals, but was it was discovered before the meals made it on the planes.
Dash and the undercover Will went to "storm" the Georgia state capitol. Instead of shooting innocent people, Will started shooting all of the bad guys. The body count for both sides was high.
The book ended with Will and Sara discussing moving in together. Will flipped it around and talked about marriage, not just moving in together.
