Kelly's ex, Mike was the one who killed Elizabeth. His rage over discovering that Kelly was in a relationship with Nathan and Sabrina sent him over the edge. She didn't tell Sabrina when she discovered it, though, because she knew it would be hard to explain to the police.
Kelly broke up with Sabrina and moved back to Chicago.
