SPOILERS for No Exit by Taylor Adams








Lars, Ashley, and Sandy were all in on the kidnapping together.  Sandy was Jay's bus driver. Sandy thought they were kidnapping her for the ransom, but there was child trafficking involved.

Darby did not make it in time to say goodbye to her mother.

    Just finished NO EXIT. I'm confused by the ending. In the Epilogue, Jay is with her parents in the cemetery to visit Darby's grave. But then the last paragraph indicates Jay is with Darby to trace a epitaph of her mother's gravestone. Did Darby survive? Did I miss something?

      yes Darby is alive the parents paid for Darby's flight because it was "the least they could do" because they are rich and Darby saved there child.

      Yeah super confusing. I believe he’s just trying to mislead the reader, but I ended up being really confusing. I guess she’s alive even though it says shes dead?

      She's not dead, she was shot in the shoulder. The author just wanted to make it seem like she died

    One thing doesnt make any sense, just like most thriller movies/novel... the protagonist pointing a gun at the main antagonist but decided to wait for eternity and trying to be more dramatic and ended up getting shot.

      She wanted to find out what the were going to do with Jay. When she found out about the sex trafficking, she wanted all of the information to save all of the other girls involved.

    I LOVED THIS BOOOKKKKKKKKKKKKKK....the author left us hanging at the ending so its not the "perfect cliche ending" and you can interpret what you want about whether Darby died or not. I just didn't get the part where Jay missed her shot with .45gun at Ashley, but still shot Ashley in the end? May someone please explain that?

      Ashley THOUGHT she missed, but in reality she didn't! He just didn't really feel it i guess? because he was literally dying right there

    This book was full of tension but there too many coincidences, too many twists. It felt like a Liam Neeson movie.
