Talk about an unreliable narrator.
There are two Mrs. Wright narrating the book. All the narration that refers to the past is the first Mrs. Wright. The second Mrs. Wright is Amelia. Amelia had been Robin's friend before she had an affair with Adam.
Henry Winter was Robin's father. Robin lured Adam and Amelia to the chapel. Robin ended up killing Amelia and she moved back to London with Adam.
Amelia was from Adam's childhood. Henry's private investigator discovered Amelia was found in the car that killed Adam's mother. But it was really Adam that had been driving the car.
